現在 SONY-ATV および V2 RECORDS（UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP) のライターとしてニューヨークを拠点に音楽の制作活動を行っている。

しかし，その展開はニューヨーク，ロンドンだけでなくすでに日本においても確実にあらわれている．YOU MUSIC CHART ではここ三ヶ月で最も期待されている２５人の新人アーチストの一人として注目を浴びており日本での活動も期待されている．特に
アーチストの曲，”STUCK IN NEVERLAND ”（スタック　イン　ネバーランド）はこのチャートのロック部門で３位を記録しており，更にFM JAPANESE MUSIC CHARTでは ”BECOMING MARINA “ （ビカミング　マリア）の日本語版が７位と高い記録をマークしている．

シンガーソングライター及びアーチストとしての礎は幼年期に芽生え十代を経て現在に至る。特に驚くのは２歳半の時に常に耳にはいるフォークソングを鍵盤にむかい音符どうりに弾きそばにいた家族を驚かせたというエピソードの持ち主でもある。幼少期にピアノのレッスンをはじめ十代の始め頃にはすでにポップ系の作詞，作曲を始めていた．
それ以来クラッシック音楽からポップ／ロックミュージックへとアーチストの才能を開花させるべき道を歩み始めていた．

シンガーソングライターとして数多くの曲をクリエートしている．それぞれの作品にはアーチストのその時きどきの心の中にある溢れる思いや感情を豊かにそして繊細かつ人の心に訴える感性の高い作品が多い。叉，それらの作品のなかには特に人間の内面を深く掘り下げた曲などもあり，それはとりもなおさずアーチスト自身の希有な才能と資質によるところが大きいといえる。

未来に向けても伝統的なポップ／ロックミュージックから更に新しい方向性を見いだすべきその役割を果たすリード的なアーチストとしても知られている。その役割の範囲は
自身の新曲の制作及び演奏活動はもとより新人の曲のプロヂュースも意欲的に行っておりその活動範囲はアメリカは勿論ヨーロッパやアジアにも及ぼうとしている．

：　２００５年及び２００６年にASCAPlus Awardに輝く。
：　２００５年，Overplay Song Competition Award を受賞する。
：　２００４年度のBRIT Award にノミネートされる。　
：　世界飢餓年のunsigned アーチストとして”貧困と飢餓防止キャンペーンツアー”　　に参加する。

Indulging a rare breed of rock nroll of the biggest kind, Emiko is a sensitive and introspective songwriter. Notwithstanding, this girl lives up to the rock legends as a trailblazer who sings, plays keys, takes her own solos, and is unafraid to say what others only dare to think. Having played piano since she was two and half, Emiko has transformed from classical pianist prodigy to rock and roll starlet. Her latest release, Here Lies Tinkerbell (OA Entertainment) features both mature, musical expertise along with an adventurous, rock esthetic through wails on the B3 organ, funky licks on the clav, Wurly solos, and melodic whirls that Beethoven would drool over . Emikos intense, bold lyrics investigate and lament over love, heartbreak, frustration and fear in ways that make her listeners not only move and groove to the music, but also react and relate on a much deeper emotional level. A three time featured performer of the Songwriters Hall of Fame New Writers Showcases, Emiko has graced the pages of Billboard Magazine, FM Sound, Music Connection, and other great music publications. MTV has said that Emiko is incredible live! and with major labels knocking down her door and a new album in the works, she is just on the brink of exploding on a global level. With award wins (2005,2006 ASCAPlus Award, 2005 Overplay Song Competition Award), nominations (2004 BRIT Award) and such great chart success in the UK (#1 for a record setting 17 weeks on the Overplay UK Pop/Rock charts), Emikos fanbase is growing fast and furious! Most recently, Emiko signed onto do two TV series, City Sessions and From the Penthouse, both which will debut in late autumn/early Winter, 2006 on YMCtv, a new national network here in the US. Emiko was also featured on East West Now, (a website that encourages furthering the exposure of Asian-American artists in the music industry), as she is the founder and Executive Director of the Asian American Music Association (AAMIA), an organization dedicated to bridging the gap in todays popular music industry between Asia and the Western world. After signing on as an artist for the AAHP (Artist Against Hunger & Poverty) campaign for World Hunger Year, founded by the late Harry Chapin, Emiko hit the road January 2006 in Canada to return home from Europe in May. As part of AAHP, Emiko is the only unsigned artist touring on an international level under the same banner with such superstars as Bruce Springsteen, Michael McDonald, Aerosmith, etc. Currently, Emiko makes her home in New York with her band, the GeminiStation Project.
